Over the past two and a half decades many of the true Bali-philes have made their way to Poppies Bali. Today, despite being a veritable institution, Poppies Bali Cottage is one of Legian luxury hotels still being discovered by those new to the delights of Bali as well as those wishing to escape the glitz and glamour of grandiose hotels.

Poppies Bali is bali luxury hotel offers just twenty luxuriously appointed thatch-roofed cottages that nestle in gardens of hibiscus, scented jasmine, and frangipani. Red brick paths meander past lily ponds, waterfalls, and time-worn stone figures, watched over by the towering palms of an ancient coconut grove.

In a secluded corner of the garden is the swimming pool and jacuzzi area, set amongst natural rocks and cascades, discreet sun-bathing terraces and riotous banks of bougainvillea. Steps lead up to a peaceful reading room, and to the intimate pool bar, a cool escape for drinks or lunch.

The quaint Balinese exterior of each cottage, with its private garden and breakfast terrace, belies the spacious and well thought out rooms that lie within. The interiors are decorated with colourful Indonesian fabrics, and include a host of thoughtfully provided creature comforts as well as local artefacts and discreet design details.

Adjoining every room is a hidden garden area that conceals a charming bathroom featuring a sunken marble bathtub and shower.

Poppies Cottage - Room Facilities :
* Air Conditioning Rooms
Each cottage has a quiet split-type air-conditioner with remote control.
There is also a large ceiling fan.

* Audio System
Each cottage has an individual audio system consisting of CD player, double cassette player, and FM radio. We have established a CD lending library with a wide range of different types of music.

* Hairdryer
A hairdryer is provided in your bathroom.

* Mosquitos
Openable mosquito screens are installed on all windows, should you wish to turn off the air-conditioning and have the ceiling fan on instead.
A mosquito repelling device is also provided in every cottage.

* Refrigerator
In each cottage there is an empty refrigerator which, if required, can be stocked either by the hotel or by the Guest

* Security
In-Room Safety Deposit Boxes are provided.

* Shaver Point
A twin-voltage shaver socket is provided in the bathroom.

* Telephone
Each cottage has an IDD telephone, and a socket for an Internet connection.

Kuta Beach is a 200 meters walk down Poppies Lane.

* Dining
Poppies Restaurant (established in 1973) is just across the lane, and offers high quality dishes, both local and international, at reasonable prices. Guests may also dine at the Pool Bar, or in the privacy of their rooms.

* Doctor
A doctor can be called from the Reception desk.

* Games
We have a selection of board games available for Guests' use.

* Internet
We provide special services for laptop travellers, and our Internet Bar offers top-of-the-line facilities.

* Iron
An iron and an ironing board are available for Guests' use.

* Laundry
One day service is normally available.

* Left Luggage
Guests with late departure times or guests travelling up-country may leave bags in our luggage storeroom.

* Library
We have a collection of books which may be borrowed by Poppies Guests; the library is situated close to the Swimming Pool.

* Massage
If you would like us to call a masseuse please let us know a day in advance.

* Room Service
Room service is available from 8:00 a.m. till 10:30 p.m. Breakfast may be served to your room from 7:00 a.m. if ordered the previous night.

* Swimming Pool
An attendant is on duty from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.. There is a shallow area for small children.

* Televison
Satellite TV - with over 30 channels - may be watched in the Old Rice Barn, which is air-conditioned. There are no televisions in the rooms.
